Theatre

At Moses Brown, your spotlight shines from within.

With multiple full-scale productions each year, there are opportunities for students across all three divisions to shine in our theatre and performance programs. Whether being center stage is your happy place or being backstage making magic happen is your thing, MB Theatre creates an environment where creativity and community flourish.

2025-26 MB Theatre Season

Vibrations In The Earth

This season’s selections are linked by the central theme "Vibrations in the Earth," after the famous Antonin Artaud quote from Theatre and Its Double: “The snake emerges from the basket, not drawn by the tune of the charmer's pipe, but by the vibrations in the earth the music awakens.”

The productions offer a wide range of experiences for students and audiences alike. We hope that everyone in the Moses Brown community feels the irresistible vibration of these magnificent plays and musicals, and joins us, whether on stage, backstage, or in the audience!

Moses Brown Theatre Pilots New “Pay as Led” Ticketing

Moses Brown Theatre is a co-curricular program open to all students from grades 3 through 12. Producing educational theater of the quality seen at MB requires investment - of energy, expertise, equipment, passion, and funds. Ticket revenue is an essential part of how we offset the costs of our remarkable program. As part of our commitment to Values in Action this year, we are trying a new experiment with what Quakers call "Pay-as Led" funding, in which each person contributes according to their own discernment. This model increases opportunities for access and equity within and beyond MB, as well as offers pathways for generous support for those who are moved to provide it. Tickets are now priced at three different levels, allowing for a model that prioritizes accessibility as well as stewardship.
