MOSES is structured as a peer ministry. With the exception of the directors and a number of other adult coaches, trips are run by student leaders. These Student Leaders, who serve as either Team Shepherds or Team Directors, are really the ministers of MOSES, seeking to teach, encourage, mentor, and meet spiritual and emotional needs of the other participants. The other participants are those who sign up to come on our trips for personal interest and growth, often because a friend, parent or youth leader encouraged them.

Are you interested in joining a trip as an Adult Leader or Adult Participant? On Saturday, February 11, we will be meeting from 8:30 to 11:30 for an adult orientation session. We will go through what is involved with being an Adult Leader or Participant, rules and standards of MOSES, and a description of the trips we offer. Board members and Trip Coordinators will be available to answer your questions. Breakfast will be served…don’t miss Pete’s World Famous Waffles!
We are having our SECOND ANNUAL CHEESECAKE GALA on Friday, February 17 at Sunshine Community Church. You will be able to taste different kinds of cheesecakes, participate in a raffle, purchase cheesecakes, and enjoy the entertainment. Cost will be $15 per person, or $25 for two, proceeds will go towards supplies for the Ensenada, Mexico trip. We had a yummy time last year…don’t miss out!
DON’T MISS OUR 25TH ANNIVERSARY REUNION! Saturday, April 14 from 4pm-7pm, we will be having an open house at Sunshine Community Church to celebrate God’s blessings of the last 25 years of MOSES trips. Please join us to meet up with old friends and trip mates, as we come together to share stories and pictures of the past trips. Share your story with Judy and it will be included in the “MOSES Memoirs” book we are working on.
We will be having a “Cinco de Mayo Banquet” on Thursday, May 3rd being held at Sunshine Community Church. Come enjoy Mexican food while supporting the upcoming Ensenada Mission Trip in July. All proceeds will go help defer participants’ trip fees.
