An Independent, Coed, Friends School, Nursery Through Grade 12

Parents' Association

The Moses Brown Parents' Association (PA) is focused on fostering a vibrant and connected community among parents and guardians. We do this by encouraging active participation, serving as a key link between families, faculty, staff, and the administration, providing a platform for parents to connect and share insights, and supporting the school through fundraising. By building a robust parent community, and through events, programs, and volunteer opportunities, the PA ultimately enhances the educational journey of every Moses Brown student.

The energy of the PA comes from the more than 60 incredible parents and guardians who jump in to volunteer class representatives and Executive Board members. These volunteers are the communication hubs, event organizers, and spirit-builders, weaving a strong sense of camaraderie throughout the Moses Brown family community.

Meetings

Stay connected and in the loop! The PA hosts regular divisional meetings, providing a platform for parents and guardians to connect within their child's division, share experiences and build relationships. Additionally, there are three all-school meetings held throughout the school year, which offer a broader community perspective and the opportunity to engage with school-wide initiatives. All meeting details and schedules are conveniently available on the MyMB Calendar, ensuring that all parents and guardians can stay informed and involved.

Parents' Association Mission

The purpose of the Association shall be to build community among the families of Moses Brown School, consistent with Friends’ values, by encouraging participation and involvement of parents and guardians, acting as a liaison among parents and guardians, faculty, staff and administration, providing an educational forum for the consideration of issues, challenges and social conditions affecting the school and raising funds for uses consistent with the Association’s goals and responsibilities. The Association is committed to partnering with and supporting Moses Brown School and its leadership to strengthen the community and enhance the educational experience of students.

MBe There: A Signature Fundraising Event

For over 25 years, the PA has consistently raised funds for student scholarships through volunteer-led events, auctions, and galas. This dedication created a PA-endowed fund in 1998, now exceeding $550,000, which plays a vital role in enabling MB to enroll the most promising students.

The Parents’ Association’s signature spring event, MBe There, is a celebration of community and giving focused on supporting need-based scholarships. This annual event brings together parents, guardians, faculty and staff for an evening of camaraderie, often featuring a reception, dinner, and auction.
