Head Coach
Mike Fraioli is originally from Annapolis, Maryland where he attended Annapolis High School. He played football and lacrosse for the Panthers (just like the New England Patriots Coach Bill Belichick!). Mike went on to play college lacrosse as a midfielder at St. Mary's College of Maryland where he was a 2 year captain and a Capital Athletic Conference All-League player. Mike began his coaching career at Dartmouth College as an assistant coach. He was with the Big Green for one year and then spent the next two years coaching with the Hawks at Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY. Mike then moved to Rhode Island to accept an Ivy League assistant coaching position with the renowned Brown University Bears. He would spend the next 5 years coaching midfielders, face-off players, goalies, as well as the coordinating the offense. In 2008, Mike joined Coach Peter Sheehan's staff at Moses Brown where he spent his first two seasons as an assistant coach. In 2010, Coach Fraioli became the head coach for the Quakers. Since entering the Rhode Island Interscholastic League in 2009, the Moses Brown boys lacrosse program has posted an overall record of 133 wins and 55 losses. Their 14 win 9 loss postseason record includes two Division 1 State Championships and seven State Final appearances. During this time, 16 US Lacrosse All-Americans, 4 Academic All-Americans, 36 First Team All-State players, 27 Second Team All State players, 65 All-Division Players have been recognized; and 33 graduates have gone on to play college lacrosse at 26 different schools. The Moses Brown boys lacrosse team, in partnership with the Bill Belichick Foundation, is proud to have raised $46,000 over the past 5 seasons through its fundraiser, "Grounders for the Game," which is an initiative aimed at expanding the game of lacrosse in under-served communities. Coach Fraioli is most proud of the tremendous relationships he's been a part of with the players, coaches, faculty members, and leaders at Moses Brown over his 14 year career at the school.
